Last Monday, our mentor teacher has asked us if we have experienced in Chinese pottery art and we answered that we have not experienced any kind of Chinese pottery. She showed us the pictures of the Chinese pottery and asked us to choose one from the three of pottery plate designs that we will going to do during the pottery class on Friday. The pupils have to do the pottery activity and the teachers have to experience during the class too. I have done the Chinese pottery but a vase and not a plate . On Friday, we were well informed that the 1st and 2nd Grade will go for the Chinese Pottery class based on the class schedule : Start  : 0900 a.m ~ 1220 p.m Place : Cho-Sarang Chinese Pottery Duration : 30 minutes from Maegok Elementary School to Cho-Sarang Transportation : Maegok school bus Here are the pictures of Chinese pottery activity : Pic001: The building was an old school and our mentor teacher told us that the government rent this building for those who ...

I was posted to do the Teacher Exchange Programme for 3 months which started on 22nd August till this coming November. Let see how Maegok school looks like!  Pic : 2nd Grade Classroom    Pic : Cafeteria ( School's canteen )  Pic : Music Class  Pic : Special Class  Pic : School's Library Wherever we go, we found out that every room has its own green nature inside. Story No 4 : Korean Family Anniversary Celebration

Image
Korean Family Anniversary Celebration is a celebration to be remembered, give respect and asking for their ancestors to keep the whole family in a good condition. My partner and I were invited by our mentor teacher to dinner with her family-in law. I took this opportunity to experience the Korean Family Anniversary Celebration that is one of their culture. The reason they do this celebration is because, they believe the ancestor will take care of their family and they have a strong relationship with their ancestor in their past during the war. Interesting isn't it? Lets check out the pictures down here :  Pic001 :  Our mentor teacher said they prepared the minimum dishes for the meal and the most expensive dish is the fruit ( big pear ) because it is not easy to find the best pear. Pic002 : The Family especially the male will bow to give respect to their ancestor   Pic003 : The head of family and his son were feeding the ancestor and I saw th...

Story No 2 : School Trip to Mun-Hang Beach

Image
This day, we have no class. Why? We have a school trip to Man-Hang beach. We are coming to collect the sea shells. The whole school's pupils will go for the beach except the kindergarten. So, my partner and I wear a navy blue shirt which have been given from our mentor teacher as our school's T-shirt. This journey took about 3 hours and half! Ommo! That is too far from the school! Macam dari Papar ke Kundasang. The bus driver really  jjang  which means he is very cool bus driver. He could navigate such a big bus entering a village which the road is too narrow. Big applause! We started our trip from 09:00 a.m and we arrived around 12:15 p.m.  From my observation about this trip, the school is giving experience to the pupils. One of the staff said, Chung Cheongbuk-Do is situated far from the beach so the pupils would not have experience with the beach a lot. The principal gave the school permission for the pupils to gain experience during the trip.  What m...
