Story No 6 : Making Pottery at Cho-Sarang
Last Monday, our mentor teacher has asked us if we have experienced in Chinese pottery art and we answered that we have not experienced any kind of Chinese pottery. She showed us the pictures of the Chinese pottery and asked us to choose one from the three of pottery plate designs that we will going to do during the pottery class on Friday. The pupils have to do the pottery activity and the teachers have to experience during the class too. I have done the Chinese pottery but a vase and not a plate .
On Friday, we were well informed that the 1st and 2nd Grade will go for the Chinese Pottery class based on the class schedule :
Start : 0900 a.m ~ 1220 p.m
Place : Cho-Sarang Chinese Pottery
Duration : 30 minutes from Maegok Elementary School to Cho-Sarang
Transportation : Maegok school bus
Here are the pictures of Chinese pottery activity :
Pic001: The building was an old school and our mentor teacher told us that the government rent this building for those who want to make atelier and related to the student. Why the Korean government rent the building?
Pic002 : The welcoming pottery
Pic003: Entrance to the pottery class
Pic004: The kids will do the doodle and colouring the plate
Pic005: Watching the the pottery artist
Pic006: Carving the plate
Pic007 : My partner is very concentrate on carving the plate
Pic008: Ready to go back to school to have lunch on 1220p.m
Why the government rented the idle school building?
It is because the Korean government did not want to let the building idle and wasted. The government want to encourage the Korean people to open atelier and anything that related to the school activity like art thingy.
.
.
Well this finding is really interesting. They did not like to waste something but make it to a useful thing.
